Does Google Play Integrity API Standard require a billable Google Cloud project?

I'm planning to integrate Google Play Integrity API using Standard requests in an Android application.

Before starting the integration, I want to understand the Google Cloud project requirements.

According to Google's documentation:

  • A Google Cloud project is required.

  • The default daily token request quota is 10,000.

  • Server-side token decoding also has a separate daily quota.

My questions are:

  1. Can Play Integrity API be used with a Google Cloud project that has no billing account attached?

  2. Does enabling only the Play Integrity API create any billable Google Cloud usage?

  3. Are Standard token generation and server-side token decoding subject to any separate usage charges?

  4. Does requesting an increase in the daily quota (for example, from 10,000 to 100,000) introduce any billing requirements?

Official documentation:

I'm looking for clarification on the technical and billing requirements before creating a Cloud project.
