My question is similar to what was discussed here in one of the comments, where I want to filter out a tag using the logcat command-line. However, my case is a little different: can be tag-name be a regular expression:

adb logcat my-very-long-*-tag-name:S

the tag-name I'm dealing with is excessively long (made by someone else, and in a library I don't have access to source).

I'm wondering if this works? The logcat command-line documentation isn't too clear on this.
